7. Third-Party Cookies
Third-party services integrated with our Platform may set their own cookies. These include:
- Google Analytics: Google Privacy Policy
- Facebook / Meta Pixel: Meta Privacy Policy
- Payment Processors (MTN, Airtel, card networks): These set security cookies needed to process payments. They cannot be disabled if you choose to make a payment.
We do not control these third-party cookies and recommend reviewing their individual privacy policies for more information.
8. Cookie Duration
- Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. They do not persist between visits.
- Persistent cookies remain on your device until they reach their set expiry date, or until you delete them manually.
- You can view and delete cookies at any time via your browser settings.
9. How to Control Cookies in Your Browser
You can configure your browser to accept, reject, or delete cookies at any time. Note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Defixerhub Platform.
- Click the three dots menu (⋮) in the top right corner
- Select Settings
- Click Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Choose your preferred cookie setting
- To delete existing cookies, click See all cookies and site data → Remove all
- Click the hamburger menu (☰) in the top right
- Select Settings → Privacy & Security
- Under Browser Privacy, select your Enhanced Tracking Protection level
- To clear cookies: click Clear Data under Cookies and Site Data
- On iPhone: Go to Settings → Safari → Privacy & Security → Block All Cookies
- On Mac: Safari → Settings → Privacy → check "Block all cookies"
- To clear: Safari → History → Clear History → choose time range
- Click the three dots menu (⋯) → Settings
- Select Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
- Toggle on Block third-party cookies if desired
- To delete: click See all cookies and site data → Remove all
10. Cookie Consent
On your first visit to defixerhub.rw, you will be shown a cookie consent banner that explains the types of cookies we use and asks for your permission.
- "Accept All" — enables all cookie categories
- "Manage Preferences" — takes you to a preference panel (like the one at the top of this page)
- "Reject All" — only strictly necessary cookies will be used

11. Do Not Track
Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting that sends a signal to websites requesting that they do not track your browsing. Defixerhub respects DNT signals: when we detect a DNT signal, we disable non-essential analytics and marketing cookies automatically.
12. Mobile App Identifiers
The Defixerhub mobile app does not use traditional web cookies. Instead, the app may use device advertising identifiers (such as Apple's IDFA or Android's Advertising ID) for analytics and, with your consent, advertising purposes.
How to Opt Out on Your Device
- iOS (iPhone/iPad): Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track"
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → "Delete advertising ID" or enable "Opt out of Ads Personalization"
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
